Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and providing insights into health decisions. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating a trustworthy environment through clear communication and skillful procedures. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and confidentiality, with assignments varying between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices.
4. Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
6. Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
2. Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
5. Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code.
6. Good judgment and decision-making skills.
7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
8. Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
10. Superior customer focus and effective communication skills.

Training and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.

Work Experience:

• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• At least two years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
