Job Title - Phlebotomist II

Location: Glassboro, NJ

Duration: 4+ Months

Shift/Time Zone: Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

Note: Training locations may vary based on the trainer's availability.

Job Description:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures. This role involves creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and demonstrating leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Responsibilities may include working in a doctor's office, patient service center, or as required by business needs. Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain a safe environment, and ensure proper documentation. The PSR II promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code standards.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Superior customer focus, open communication, adaptability, and business knowledge.
Required Work Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.
Additional Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry skills.
