Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and providing insights into health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established procedures. They establish trust with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focuses on process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens with confidence, following established practices.
4. Maintain records and documentation.
5. Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
