Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Interacts directly with patients, creating trust and explaining procedures in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
- Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
- Maintains a safe and professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, following established practices.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience required; 1+ years preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
- Candidates must list home city and commute time on resume; rate depends on direct experience.
- Reliable transportation to the worksite is required; public transportation or rideshare is not considered reliable.
- Must be punctual, available for scheduled shifts, and stay for entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
- Verify commute time to ensure it is within 20-25 minutes of the worksite.
