Job Description

• The Phlebotomist III- Float represents the face of our company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing.
• Responsible for creating a trusting atmosphere, explaining procedures, and ensuring accurate, safe blood draws across multiple locations.
• Must ensure daily activities are completed accurately and on time in various settings such as Patient Service Centers, mobile units, long-term care, or in-office environments.
• Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
• May be assigned to work in a doctor's office, patient service center, house call environment, or long-term care, and lead or mentor staff as needed.
• Acts as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource for new employees and clients.
• Works with high-complexity and high-volume practices, requiring excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)

Work Experience

• At least five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Minimum of 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience
