The Phlebotomist III- Float represents the face of our company to patients who come to CLIENT, either as part of their routine health checks or for critical health decisions. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing, following established procedures. The Phlebotomist III- Float interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately.
This position requires providing coverage across multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities in Patient Service Centers, Mobile units, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and timely. The role demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Applicants may be assigned to work in various settings such as doctors' offices, patient service centers, house calls, or long-term care, depending on business needs.
The Phlebotomist III- Float may also lead and mentor other staff, act as a resource for new employees, and provide onboarding for new clients. They may work with high-complexity and high-volume practices, requiring advanced phlebotomy skills and excellent customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across multiple functions like Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment is essential.
