Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Shift: Between 7am-5pm M-F, alternate Saturday between 7am-12pm
Description:
- The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company, engaging with patients during health routines and vital health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Builds trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
- Provides coverage across multiple locations and roles, including Patient Service Centers, Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy.
- Ensures daily activities are completed accurately and on time, demonstrating leadership and process excellence while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- May be assigned to work in a doctor's office, patient service center, house call environment, long-term care, or as needed by business demands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach on-site staff, act as a resource and mentor, and provide onboarding for new employees and clients.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff and provide feedback to supervisors.
- Handle high-complexity, high-volume practices requiring exceptional phlebotomy skills.
- Engage in customer-facing activities, including communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with Sales, Laboratory Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
- Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum of three years in a PSCIOP environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
