Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a skilled Outreach specimen collection specialist to join our Laboratory Outreach team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of computer registration skills and customer service experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and specimen processing experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in Epic and other registration systems.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection per policies.
• Handle patient registration and insurance verification.
• Provide customer service and communicate results to physicians.
• Maintain QA and compliance with CLIA/CAP guidelines.
• Maintain records and assist with billing inquiries.
