Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is seeking a Phlebotomist Supervisor to oversee field phlebotomy operations at our Stafford, VA location. This hands-on role directs the phlebotomy team, ensures compliant practices, and maintains client satisfaction.

The supervisor will manage scheduling, payroll, training, and audits while coordinating with sales and client services. Requires strong leadership and 3+ years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of laboratory experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all phlebotomists across locations.
• Manages scheduling and PTO for phlebotomists.
• Manages payroll and hours for phlebotomists.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with audits and documentation.
• Participates in quality meetings and programs.
• Screens, interviews, and hires phlebotomy staff as needed.
• Provides orientation, training, and competency assessments.
• Performs disciplinary actions as needed.
• Conducts 3–4 daily site visits to review service levels and client satisfaction.
• Coordinates with sales and client services for phlebotomy programs.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as required (venipuncture, collection, paperwork).
• Maintains documentation and utilization of the lab data system.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and composure under stress.
