Qualifications

• 2 years clinical experience in a high complexity laboratory.
• BLS (CPR) from ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP OR ASPT OR NHA.
• Clinical Laboratory Assistant or Medical Laboratory Assistant certification by ASCP or AMT acceptable.
• Current Licensed Advanced EMT/Paramedic or Certified MT/MLT (ASCP, AMT).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules blood drawing services to ensure efficient workflow and adequate staffing.
• Trains and mentors phlebotomy staff to maintain best practices and patient safety.
• Develops and maintains SOPs for phlebotomy processes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Implements quality improvement initiatives to enhance phlebotomy service performance.
• Monitors inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensures uninterrupted service.
• Collaborates with laboratory personnel to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
