  • Maintain safety standards, infection control, and proper specimen handling protocols.
  • Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and readiness at all times.
  • Communicate with providers about lab questions, urgent draws, or special testing needs.
  • Coordinate with laboratory service providers for courier schedules, supplies, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure all tubes, requisitions, orders, and documentation are accurate and complete.
  • Provide concierge-level care by preparing guests, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort.
  • Train and support phlebotomy and lab tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee specimen collection, labeling, processing, packaging, and transfer to the provider.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows.
  • Perform high-quality blood draws with precision, gentleness, and compassion.

This role requires someone with strong technical phlebotomy skills, high attention to detail, and a leadership mindset focused on safety, efficiency, and personalized care.

Leadership

The Phlebotomy Lead will serve as the point person for anything that touches the lab: specimen collection, processing, quality control, laboratory service provider, troubleshooting issues, and educating the team.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Education.
  • Offer education to the team and guests around lab processes, expectations, and results-related workflows.
  • Work closely with clinical, ANS, ultrasound, and FOH teams to ensure smooth guest flow across all diagnostic services.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, infection control, and proper specimen handling protocols.
  • Maintain lab equipment, supply inventory, and ensure readiness at all times.
  • Maintain open communication with providers regarding lab-related questions, urgent draws, or special testing needs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with laboratory service provider for courier schedules, supply ordering, unresolved specimen questions, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure all tubes, requisitions, orders, and documentation are completed accurately and error-free.
  • Provide concierge-level care by preparing guests, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the experience.
  • Train and support team members performing phlebotomy or lab-related tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee all processes related to specimen collection, labeling, processing, packaging, and timely transfer to laboratory service provider.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline lab workflows.
  • Perform high-quality blood draws with precision, gentleness, and compassion.
  • Reinforce best practices, provide ongoing coaching, and uphold TWC’s clinical and guest-service standards.
  • Uphold precise chain-of-custody policies to protect sample integrity and guest safety.
Requirements
  • Experience leading or training others is preferred.

  • Certified phlebotomist or clinical professional with extensive phlebotomy experience.
