Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and glucose meter testing according to established procedures.
• Identify patients accurately prior to specimen collection and testing.
• Explain blood collection procedures to patients during the process.
• Collect and handle drug screening and breath alcohol testing for DOT requirements.
• Receive, validate, process, and prepare specimens for reference laboratories, including order entry and proper packaging.
• Maintain specimen collection area and equipment for efficient workflow.
• Document and follow up on specimen integrity issues and logs.
• Manage inventory for reference laboratories.
