Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomist Certification (if applicable).
• Experience in blood collection procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare equipment for blood collection procedures.
• Verify patient identity and communicate to reduce anxiety.
• Collect and label blood specimens accurately with required information.
• Verify specimen collection in the computer system.
• Deliver collected specimens to the laboratory.
• Monitor collected and uncollected specimen lists regularly.
• Attend mandatory training programs as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
