Job summary

Sanford Health in Rapid City, SD is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, preparation and processing in a laboratory setting. You will assist with lab activities and may enter orders and results, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Two 12-hour shifts are typical, with 24 hours weekly. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and completion of a phlebotomy program is desirable, along with BLS certification if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Assist in preparing and processing biological specimens.
• Enter laboratory orders and results; ensure data accuracy and quality.
