Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a phlebotomist to perform venipunctures for adults, pediatrics, and micro collections for infants at our West Covina facility. The role supports specimen processing and client communication to resolve concerns, with data entry duties as needed.

Minimum requirements include a CA CPT, BLS, and strong English communication. Prior acute care lab experience is preferred, along with proficiency in phlebotomy and pertinent terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy proficiency and medical terminology required.
• 2 years acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy techniques including blood cultures, finger and heel sticks.
• Fluent English communication.
• Typing and word processing skills required.
• Current California CPT certificate.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures on adults and pediatrics.
• Perform micro collections on infants.
• Participate in data entry and specimen processing.
• Communicate with clients to resolve specimen concerns as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
