Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred where applicable.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and testing procedures.
• Ability to operate lab equipment and perform basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Performs routine laboratory tests and specimen preparation.
• Labels specimens accurately and maintains documentation according to standards.
• Assists in transport and receipt of specimens within the department.
• Maintains equipment, cleanliness, and inventory; adheres to safety protocols.
