Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the laboratory team. You will collect blood samples by venipuncture or capillary puncture, process specimens, and assist with transport and documentation in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires familiarity with lab information systems, adherence to safety standards, and/or phlebotomy certification. High school diploma or GED is required; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform minor tests.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to operate, clean, and sterilize.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood by venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Assists in specimen preparation, receipt, and transport of specimens.
• Performs routine laboratory tests and reports results to clinical staff.
