Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified as a phlebotomy technician.
• Previous experience drawing blood or phlebotomy training course in approved program.
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all specimen collection by phlebotomy from the correct individual at in-house or off-site locations.
• Collects, verifies, and processes patient registration data and test order into hospital/LIS systems, including ABN compliance.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and adheres to infection-control policies.
• Performs waived tests and assists in other testing platforms with technical oversight.
• Orients and/or trains new staff and assists in regulatory compliance.
