Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Lab Support Technician I (Phlebotomy) to join our nights team. This part-time role performs phlebotomy, specimen handling, and reports distribution while delivering Mercy Signature Service to patients and providers.

You will work 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, maintain HIPAA compliance, participate in training, and support departmental operations with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of probationary period.
• No active disciplinary actions or performance improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, label, process, transport, and refer laboratory specimens following established procedures.
• Assist with specimen processing and report management across laboratory specialty areas.
• Receive, distribute, and maintain laboratory reports as directed.
• Resolve billing issues as needed.
• Maintain specimen integrity and ensure confidentiality.
