Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking a Lab Support Technician (LST I) to join the provider care team. The role supports reports, data and scheduling functions of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely lab operations and outstanding customer service.

The LST I will handle specimen collection and processing, transport and referrals as required, under supervision. A high school diploma is required; preferred candidates have clinical laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsabilités

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support including processing, transport and referral of specimens and reports.
• Assist with data and scheduling functions for laboratory operations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service with internal and external customers in line with Mercy Service Standards.
• Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality and laboratory policies during all duties.
