Qualifications

• American Society for Clinical Pathology (Required)
• HS Diploma/GED (Required)
• Phlebotomy training and experience in an outpatient or hospital setting
• Prior experience in hospital laboratory receiving area
• Prior experience with the Laboratory Information System

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient age and developmental level for communication and collection procedures.
• Performs correct venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Labels specimens accurately and ensures proper handling of samples.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment and related SOPs; adheres to infection control policies.
• Maintains documentation, inventories, and communication with the lab team.
