Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks a full-time Phlebotomist for Bardmoor Outpatient and Surgery in Largo, FL. Schedule: 7:30am–4:00pm; occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities include collecting and processing inpatient and outpatient specimens, coordinating with nursing staff, and routing specimens to external labs. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; Drivers license preferred; phlebotomy experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills preferred; duties include specimen collection and processing.

Responsibilities

• Collect inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Perform phlebotomy procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
