Nantucket Cottage Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens from adults, children, and infants and perform related clerical and specimen-handling duties. The role requires familiarity with the LIS system and attention to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred (up to 6 months) and experience with EKGs/Holter monitors.

Responsabilités

• Draw all types of blood specimens (except blood gases) from adults, children, and infants.
• Perform clerical and record-keeping duties, specimen handling, shipping, ordering, EKGs, and Holter monitoring.
• Ensure specimens meet acceptance criteria and notify supervisor for issues.
