Qualifications

• Must perform venipuncture and blood collection with a high level of skill.
• Ability to accession lab orders and prepare specimens for testing.
• Familiarity with specimen processing, storage, and transport requirements.
• Competency in point-of-care testing and basic QC procedures.
• Demonstrates safe, independent work habits and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood from patients of all ages per physician orders.
• Process specimens and prepare them for testing in the lab.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing as required.
• Respond to urgent requests and manage multiple priorities.
• Train others in phlebotomy and basic lab tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and monitor inventory.
