Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire seeks a skilled phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and pre-analytic processing of specimens. You will collect quality blood samples from diverse patients and ensure proper labeling and handling in the EHR.

Under supervision, you will dispatch, enter orders, and participate in testing, quality measures, and special studies while maintaining patient safety and specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–5 years in a hospital or laboratory setting including processing specimens.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood specimens from diverse patients using proper site and technique.
• Narrate care and confirm patient identification before collection.
• Label specimens at collection time in presence of patient.
• Order tests in the Electronic Health Record.
• Maintain sample integrity and perform basic processing.
• Perform CLIA waived and moderate complexity testing and inoculate microbiology media.
