Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy and support specimen collection and processing under supervision. You will collect blood samples from patients of all ages and ensure proper handling and transport to the lab, following safety and OSHA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy training with externship, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with willingness to travel to off-site

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training with externship preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; able to perform in emergent/crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages.
• Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments or reference laboratories.
• Performs duties within assigned work blocks.
• Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.
• Assists in preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
• Concord Site only: Travels to off-site locations for phlebotomy collections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
