Responsibilities

• Draws blood from patients by finger, heel, or vein with asepsis.
• Obtain correct amount and type of specimen.
• Document requests and release results accurately.
• Informs physicians of released lab results.
• Process and route various medical specimens for testing.
• Order, distribute, and stock laboratory supplies.
• Train and report on the performance of other Laboratory Assistants.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
• Supervisory: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
