Qualifications

Six months experience in clinical laboratory setting with phlebotomy experience.

Demonstrated skills in specimen processing.

Responsibilities

Obtains laboratory specimens such as blood, urine and sputum directly from patient.
Uses centrifuge to separate plasma or serum, labels and stores samples; provides information to technicians.
Maintains and operates equipment; keeps maintenance charts for equipment and refrigerators.
Performs authorized tests in areas such as serology, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, histology and cytology.
Maintains customer focus and service excellence; reports non-compliance.
Cooperates with staff and assists others; conducts self in a courteous, helpful manner.
