Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a detail‑oriented candidate to register patients and specimens in the hospital information system and to process physician orders for tests. You will help collect/process specimens into the laboratory information system and assist with front desk duties and outpatient workflow.

When needed, you may support pathology specimen processing and drug screen collection. The role requires high school diploma or GED, and a national phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• National Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and specimens in the Hospital Information System with required information.
• Process physicians' orders for test specimens and ensure proper handling in the Laboratory Information System.
• Assist with front desk duties and outpatient workflow as needed.
• In the absence of the pathology assistant, process pathology specimens and reports as needed.
• Collect and process Chain of Custody urine drug screens and Breathalyzer tests.
