Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood and collect specimens from patients of all ages in a hospital or clinic setting. You will identify patients, follow PPE protocols, and ensure accurate labeling and processing of samples while maintaining patient dignity.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably completed phlebotomy training, and prior experience in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; formal phlebotomy program preferred.
• Previous hospital or draw station phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required; NY licensure not required.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect specimens from patients of all ages.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow PPE requirements.
• Label specimens correctly and process them per test requirements.
• Register patients and verify insurance; create electronic test orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage patient adverse reactions.
• Communicate test results to providers as requested.
