Job summary

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist to support patient care in our laboratory. You will collect specimens, perform registrations, and ensure accurate testing workflows under supervision. Experience in venipuncture and specimen handling is required; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience in registration and clerical duties
• Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic or EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection and registration procedures with accuracy.
• Assist in processing, labeling and testing according to orders.
• Follow safety and privacy policies; handle documentation and LIS entries.
• Demonstrates proficiency in venipuncture and finger sticks as required.
