Qualifications

• Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic or EMT certification preferred.
• 1-3 years in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of specimen collection and testing requirements.
• Performs venipunctures and/or finger sticks across age groups.
• Uses LIS and handles specimen labeling, documentation and accessioning.
• Maintains patient and specimen documentation and education as needed.
• Adheres to procedures for patient identification and specimen collection-based test orders.
