Job summary

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant / Phlebotomist to join a busy clinical lab team. Under supervision, you will collect and process specimens, register orders, and support testing workflows while ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in a clinical laboratory setting, be skilled in venipuncture across age groups, and understand privacy and safety standards. Education: vocational/technical degree preferred; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic or EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and register orders.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen handling across age groups.
• Document and track specimen collection in the LIS.
• Follow procedures for patient identification and specimen collection.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with safety policies.
