Job summary

BayCare Health System in Westchase, FL is hiring a Full-Time Phlebotomist for the Outreach Lab. You will collect, receive, and process specimens, communicate with nursing staff, and refer specimens to outside labs, while performing phlebotomy and supporting referral tests.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent; 6 months of phlebotomy or related lab experience; valid driver's license. This role offers a competitive total rewards package including benefits and 401K.

Qualifications

• 6 months phlebotomy or laboratory-related experience, or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\'s degree in a related field may substitute experience.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
