Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational phlebotomy course/program, or 1 year working phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑analytical specimen receipt, processing, identification verification, and specimen storage.
• Operate centrifuge and pneumatic tube systems, office equipment, enter information and test orders into the laboratory computer system.
• Provide training to others.
• Perform phlebotomy on inpatient floors and support the ED phlebotomy staff; may be required to draw outpatients on off‑hours.
• Manage work unit supply ordering and inventory.
