Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio, is hiring a direct-hire Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to support the Laboratory Services team. You will collect venous and capillary samples, prepare requisitions, and assist with data entry and reporting under the Director of Laboratory Services.

This role requires formal phlebotomy training with certification and the ability to respond to emergencies after hours. Weekend coverage and varied shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Formal phlebotomy training with certification or comparable program certification.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies during off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and capillary blood specimens and nasal swabs.
• Interact with patients of all ages and accommodate individual needs.
• Maintain communication with the reference laboratory.
• Ensure supplies for specimen collection and processing are stocked.
• Keep phlebotomy work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Know how to collate, route and distribute reports and materials as required.
• Weekend and occasional overtime work is required; cover shifts as needed.
