Job summary

• Phlebotomy experience/training required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to follow general lab policies, adhere to regulatory guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews posted policy changes and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
• Organizes and completes daily tasks in assigned area(s).
• Investigates specimen collection problems using OSR and specimen tracking tools and communicates actions.
• Trains new employees and/or students in lab policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures clearly and uses appropriate communication with patients of all ages.
