Job summary

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and screening tests per CMS/CLIA and OSHA standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens per Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
