Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a flexible Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and processing in a busy laboratory setting. This role involves venipuncture and preparation of blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and CMS/CLIA standards.
No prior experience is required, but one year in phlebotomy or EKG experience is preferred. Certifications are advantageous; hospital laboratory experience is a plus. Variable hours and weekend rotations are included.
Variable hours; minimum of 2 weekends each six week period and rotating holidays.

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
