Job summary

Piedmont Macon North in Macon, Georgia is seeking a Lab Assistant (Days) to support sample processing and venipuncture duties in a clinical laboratory setting. This role follows CMS CLIA '88, OSHA standards and Piedmont policies, with a 4am-12:30pm shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

No experience required, GED or high school diploma required; phlebotomy certification preferred; EKG experience preferred; opportunity for growth within a supportive healthcare system.

• Performs venipunctures and collects/prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licences and Certifications

• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
