Job summary

Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Clinical Lab Assistant-Phlebotomy Technician in Brockton, MA. The role supports outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy services, following policy to ensure specimen integrity and accurate labeling while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma and may include ASCP phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification; experience with LIS and specimen handling is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent required.
• Experience in medical terminology, customer service and patient registration.
• Phlebotomy (ASCP) or Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Register patients and order tests as requested by providers.
• Receive and batch specimens into LIS; ensure specimen integrity.
• Deliver specimens to appropriate lab areas and load into track system.
• Communicate test results and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy; follow lab policies.
