Job summary

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with weekend rotation (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM). Requires a High School diploma and at least 6 months of related phlebotomy or accessioning experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months phlebotomy or accessioning experience.
• Familiarity with Meditech or clinical lab documentation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood from patients using aseptic venipuncture techniques.
• Document all phlebotomy rounds accurately and completely.
• Enter patient demographics and lab test orders into the information system.
• Process specimens for testing: labeling, measuring, aliquoting, centrifuging, and distribution.
• Perform routine quality checks and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in donor room procedures and maintain donor documentation when required.
• Stock and maintain supplies and ensure timely specimen transport.
