Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Tampa, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our plasma donation center. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor donors during donation, and handle plasmapheresis equipment setup and troubleshooting.

The role requires the ability to stand for long shifts, willingness to work evenings/weekends/holidays, and lifting up to 50 lbs rarely. Prior customer-facing experience is helpful; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work availability.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs; rarely 50 lbs.
• Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal of materials.
• Record donor vital signs and enter data into the DIS.
• Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors via Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements.
