OSF HealthCare is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain blood and other specimens from inpatients, outpatients, ED and clinic patients for laboratory testing according to licensed orders. You will verify patient ID, prepare skin sites, perform venipuncture and skin punctures, label specimens, and transport them to the laboratory.
This hourly role includes weekend premium pay (20% for hours between Friday 7:00 p.m. and Monday 7:30 a.m.) and a 3rd shift differential of $2.25 per hour.

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Weekend Premium Pay (5/6 Program): Employees participating in the 5/6 Program earn a 20% premium on their base hourly rate for all hours worked between 7:00 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. Hours worked outside of the designated weekend period are paid at the regular base rate.
3rd Shift Differential: Employees working 3rd shift receive an additional $2.25 per hour for all eligible hours worked.
The Phlebotomist obtains blood and other specimens from inpatients, outpatients, ED patients, extended care facility patients, physician office patients, clinic patients, and any other offsite location patients for laboratory testing according to licensed physician’s or provider’s orders. In doing so, obtains needed supplies, verifies patient identification, prepares skin sites, and performs venipuncture and skin punctures according to established aseptic techniques. Labels specimens and transports same to laboratory for analysis. Performs clerical and/or computer duties associated with the laboratory. Duties may vary by assigned area and/or shift.
