Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Phlebotomist to support the Georgetown location with occasional coverage for nearby sites. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm role with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

The position can be at Level 2 or Sr depending on candidate experience, with responsibilities including specimen collection, labeling, and adherence to OSHA and CLIA guidelines within a busy lab setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of experience for Level 2.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.
• Current state licensure if applicable.
• Five or more years of experience for Level Sr.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects appropriate specimens from patients.
• Maintains collection areas and equipment and performs record keeping duties.
• Processes in-house and reference lab specimens and reports.
• Identifies patients and ensures proper labeling and safety procedures.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Three years of experience (Level 2)

Licensure recommended from accredited phlebotomy program

Current state licensure if applicable

Five+ years of experience (Level Sr)
