Job summary

Texas Oncology in Georgetown is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This full-time position supports the Georgetown location with occasional coverage for Round Rock North and Harker Heights. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm with no weekends or major holidays. Level 2 or Sr depending on experience.

Under direct supervision, the phlebotomist collects and processes specimens, adheres to QA and safety policies, assists with patient flow, and maintains accurate records in the lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.
• Current state licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens from patients as ordered.
• Maintains documentation as described by QA programs and logs.
• Maintains inventory and ensures supplies are viable before use.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for testing not done in-house.
• Processes in-house and incoming reports and lab paperwork.
• Properly identifies patients and labels specimens per policy.
