Job summary

Job Overview

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We improve health outcomes worldwide and are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Kennewick, WA.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; additional hours and rotating Saturday's as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Qualified to perform moderately complex testing as defined by CLIA.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Washington State‑issued Phlebotomy License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more months of phlebotomy experience.
  • 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp phlebotomy experience.
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English.
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Compensation

Pay Range: $19.75 - $28.74 per hour. PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
