Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist in Richland. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 am–1:00 pm, with extra hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. This role requires venipuncture and capillary blood collection across age groups and specimen handling for various tests.

The successful candidate will have a WA phlebotomy license (or be eligible) and prefer 3+ months of phlebotomy experience, with Spanish and English bilingual abilities considered a plus. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State phlebotomy license or eligible at time of hire.
• 3+ months phlebotomy experience preferred.
• 6+ months Labcorp phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostics.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen data.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

Part Time Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other required diagnostics.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Valid Washington State‑issued Phlebotomy License.
• Preferred: 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 6+ months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy.
• Preferred: Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at the time of hire may satisfy the requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Pay and Incentives

Pay Range: $18.25 – $27.69 per hour.

PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
