Job summary

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 6 months of phlebotomy experience, with certification preferred. Excellent customer service and the ability to work independently or within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred (or 1+ year experience).
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy cert/training from an accredited agency is required.
• Strong customer service and communications skills.
• Able to work independently or in a team; flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; perform clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
