Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and fingerstick blood specimens from patients of all ages per policies.
• Train and orient new staff and homecare nurses in proper phlebotomy procedures.
• Operate the laboratory computer system for job activities and workflow.
• Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed.
• Package and transport specimens to appropriate departments for processing.
• Answer calls and respond to workflow changes promptly.
• Ensure 100% accurate patient identification at all times.
